Mental strength

PS: Sharing a quote I came across: "What each person thinks, they will believe."

Recently, I unintentionally came across a term called "xinli" (心力), which perfectly aligns with what I currently need in my state of mind. I still don't know the exact definition of it, but I have a vague feeling that it is the kind of strength I need the most at the moment - something that can help me adjust my negative emotions and provide a source of power.

"Xinli" should be a deep inner strength that doesn't need to be deliberately grasped. It is something that can keep me focused and unaffected at all times, making everything else step aside. This power can help reduce feelings of helplessness and frustration within me, as well as any other negative aspects.

I used to focus more on concentration, thinking that it could make my inner self stronger. However, I later realized that concentration can only help me build my personal growth, but it cannot truly strengthen my inner self or have as much impact as I imagined. I have a vague sense that "xinli" might be what I am looking for, and recently, I have been exploring its helpfulness to me through various means.

This kind of strength requires constant exercise, although how to exercise it is still unknown. Fortunately, this power should be related to self-discipline and inner resilience. Based on my own practical experience and learning from certain things, the best way is to read corresponding classic books, accumulate knowledge and draw strength during the reading process. When my inner self needs to take control, I can use appropriate things to resist negativity. Perhaps feeling at a loss is an example of lacking "xinli," as I am unable to face things properly and become flustered.

"Xinli" should not be something that is only obtained through second-hand experiences or feelings, such as reading or obtaining from others. These kinds of acquisitions belong to the second-hand category, and if they are not truly experienced, they cannot be transformed into one's own "xinli." Everything must be personally experienced in order to gain more insights.

Speaking of "xinli," on one hand, it is about exercising in terms of inner strength, where the key is personal involvement and internalization, making it become something within oneself. On the other hand, it is about not allowing the existing "xinli" to continuously be damaged. If one constantly exhausts themselves mentally, it will lead to being influenced by negative emotions or news as a whole. Over time, you will be unable to withstand the impact of unexpected events on yourself. You might say that some people are not affected by these influences and can do whatever they want. Yes, indeed, such people exist, but they are the minority, and most of us do not fall into that category.

"Xinli" is a broad concept, and each person should have their own understanding of it. As long as it is any kind of power that can positively shape oneself, it can be called "xinli," including the previously mentioned concentration and resilience. These can all be considered as "xinli." That's all for today.
